If you haven't checked out http://www.voicethread.com yet, you should. Its great for pretty much any course you are teaching even outside of languages because it encourages students to communicate and be engaged all around the graphics, videos, and topics that you present. Its way better than a discussion board!
This Fall VoiceThread plans to come out with mobile option. ;-) Unfortunately, it only will work on the Apple devices. ;-(However, if you happen to use the iPad, iTouch, or iPhone in your classes then this will be a tool you will definitely want to try out. VoiceThread has some free options and some paid.
